Hi!  I'm Cheryl Wardle.  Welcome to Bridge to Learning.

I am an Educataor with over 25 years of experience in preschool and elementary teaching and tutoring.  I am also a Certified Independent Educational Consultant.  

My continuing education experience includes workshops and classes in Handwriting without Tears, Play Based Learning programs, Wilson Reading, Everyday Math, and Responsive Classroom.  I have served on include FOCUS (Fellowship for Christians in Schools and Universities).   I have taught at several private schools in the area including The Haverford School and The Woodlynde School.  While at Haverford, I was nominated twice by the graduating class for Excellence in Teaching.

My teaching experience over the years has allowed me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of learning styles through personalized instruction to meet the academic needs of each student.  I am passionate about helping students to achieve academic success.  

I enjoy gardening, travel, kayaking, and cross-country skiing. I am fluent in German, and I have traveled frequently to Germany,  led a mission trip to Guatemala building homes with Habitat for Humanity,  Every summer, my husband and I volunteer in the kitchen for FOCUS programs on Martha’s Vineyard, and I currently serve on the Area Support Council Board for FOCUS.
